254. Koompartoo Retreat

Koompartoo Retreat is one of the longest standing accommodation providers in Bellingen. Owner Erika Respinger has owned and run the business for more than 10 years. During that time we have hosted and maintained her static site. This year when Erika had her paper advertising materials reprinted with new colours and design she asked that the web site be bought along in the same direction. Also, Erika had formerly asked to have the ability to change the web site herself so we took the opportunity to make a move to a CMS and new design at the same time.

255. Ozicar Rentals

Paul Bebendorf owns and operates Ozicar Rentals (formerly Little Car Hire) on the Pacific Highway in Coffs. When Paul bought Little Car Hire he inherited a small site DWS  had made many years previously for Terry Little. By 2009 that site was very out of date. The name was wrong, the stock had changed and so to had the focus of the business from car hire to truck hire. The new site reflects all these changes.

256. NZ Rigging

The crew at NZ Rigging wanted a way to maintain and update their web site with news and new pictures. They were happy with the layout and design of their existing site, they just needed access to it. DWS set up Wordpress on their existing host, migrated all their text and pictures over and then refit there design. We followed up with onsite training and little Flash movies detailing individual procedures in Wordpress.

257. Ward Digital Copy Services

David Ward has an offer that is hard to refuse for those among us who invested in LPs and cassettes or VHS tapes and now find; there are no players for them, or the media itself is deteriorating, or they can not be replaced in you local CD store or at Amazon. Likewise, David restores old and fading photography to it original colour and vibrancy.

258. WP Solutions

WP Solutions supplies a range of specialist water proofing services to the construction industry. Owner Grant Macintosh provided DWS with banner images that had been used in newspaper advertising, a logo and text for his site. He pointed us in the direction of his competitor’s web sites to give us an idea of the breadth of the site he required. Grant can change his own site with the Wordpress content management system.

259. Blanchards Haulage & Bricks & Pavers

Located in Yamba and Grafton, NSW, Blanchard's service the Clarence Valley and Coffs Coast with long distance freight transportation. We made the first version of Blanchard’s web site in Nov 2006. Three years later Robert Blanchard asked us for a design upgrade and the ability to edit the content on his site. The result can be seen in the browser windows this month.

260. Sandys Cards

The Sandy's Cards web site has been around for some years. In its first incarnation it was a static HTML web site with a shopping cart by Mals-e.com. It's second incarnation was using epages but this proved complicated and expensive. Switching to Wordpress with WP-Commerce plug in, the software allow Sandy's Cards staff to add and remove new ranges of cards as they are created. DWS set up the card categories, the design and the freight and payment gateway options... but after that the only remaining task is data entry, shared between DWS and the Sandy's Cards.
