In the third quarter of 2007 we have made many new web sites and rebuilt others for our long standing
customers. The new web sites have come from all types of buinesses; accommodation, food, the arts, business,
not-for-profit and real estate. As a busy web design company it is likely we have developed a site in
your business class too. Call
us now to discuss your web site.
175. Haruyo Morita
|
www.haruyomorita.com.au |
|

|
Haruyo Morita is a Japanese artist living in Australia. Over Haruyo's
life time she has created spectacular paintings of famous Japanese Kabuki
actors. These images were originally sold through galleries as fine art. Later some were licensed
and are available as jigsaw puzzles within Japan. However, the images have been misused by manufacturers
who have no license with the artist. Therefore this web site has many functions; it serves as a point
of contact with the artist for people who wish to use her images, it offers the jigsaws for sale outside
Japan, it sells desktop wallpapers, screensavers and giclee prints. One of the unique challenges of
this site was that two languages were required. Haruyo provided the Japanese as hard copy and we added
this to the site as images. |

Kilborne's First National Real Estate is located in Urunga, NSW. This recent rebuild replaces a
SQL database site written in 2004 (which replaced a static html site built in 2001). The SQL application
was a custom application and we were having trouble getting support from the original programmer.
The new site allows us to control all aspects of the site and has many new functions both for the
estate agent and the site user. These features are described on this page
for estate agents. Please contact us on 02 6658 5286 for a demo of the back end of this web site.

178. North Coast Power Systems

|

|
(INACTIVE) Dave Skelton approached Dynamic Web Solutions for a placeholder
page. He intends to add content to his site in the coming months. Making a placeholder page gives
us the opportunity to start marketing a site's address before all the content arrives. Usually we
ask the owner for 3 - 5 paragraphs of text so search engines will have something to go on (Dave's
site is not an example of that).
The other opportunity a placeholder page offers is email addresses. We have to register a domain name
and set up hosting, and therefore the customer can specify what email addresses they want with their
domain. These can then be added to business cards. |

The Diplomacy Training Program is a not-for-profit agency based
at NSW University Faculty of Law. The program aims to train people in human rights, diplomacy and
good governance. One of the design criteria for this site is that it should load fast as many of the
users are in countries where modem connections are the most prevalent form of access to the Internet.
Like all our sites, this site is valid to the W3
standard, and is designed to minimise the load of graphics (photos & pictures).
The site will be maintained but University volunteers. It has a three column layout where the centre
column is designed to constrain the body text to 8 to 10 words (for ease of reading) and the right
hand column is designed to allow for regular news updates and the occasional picture. |

180. Clout & Associates
|
www.cloutassociates.com.au |
|

|
Clout & Associates are Australian accountants specialising in business recovery and insolvency
services. This is the second version of their website. It has a plain and clean presentation which
is often requested by professionals such as lawyers and accountants.
Again, the site follows a three column layout. The purpose of this is to constrain text in a smaller
centre column so each line length is 8-10 words making your eye return easily to the beginning of
each line.

181. F1 Kart Hire
|
www.f1karthire.com.au |
|

|
F1 Kart Hire is a outdoor go-cart venue. Centrally located in Coffs
Harbour, the raceway does good business with schools and during holiday times. The colours and
layout for this web site are lifted directly from the business's DL flier. In general we do not
supplant existing design and logos with new ideas and thus risk diluting what recognition there
may already be in a customers brand.

182. Coffs Olympic Pool
|
www.coffsolympicpool.com.au |
|

|
Sue and Iain, the new licencees of the Coffs Harbour War Memorial Olympic Pool,
have big plans. Many physical changes are under way on site at the pool compound. Importantly, solar
heating for the pool is being installed. A small cafe is planned. A fitness area is being developed
and many other enhancements to the grounds. This new web site details all the activities available
for each of the pool's user groups. Hours, schedules and fees are published.

183. Braidwood Deli Cafe
|
www.braidwooddeli.com.au |
|

|
The Braidwood Deli Cafe asked for a mouth watering web site to be built to promote their deli in
the main street of Braidwood. The site features bright and healthy oranges and reds. Much emphasis
has been put on the visuals - photos of baking and specialty products are throughout the site. DWS
has also produced a business card (below) to match the web design.

|

184. Sundowner Lodge
|
www.venusbaygetaways.com.au |
|

|
Sundowner Lodge Guesthouse of Venus Bay, Victoria approached DWS to make a web site to the same
layout as Tudor House, Glen Innes,
Grafton. We changed the colour scheme to teal to recall the sea side location of Sundowner Lodge.
Owner Karen Wlas, sent us fantastic panorama photography for the banner areas of her site. Photography
is so important to the final look of a web site. People need to be able to put themselves
in the picture and/or get a real good look at what they are buying.
Design and photography however are only the beginning of a successful web site - so much today depends
on search engines, and to get good rankings a web site needs excellent inbound links.
|

185. Artmarte
|
www.artmarte.com.au |
|

|
Artmarte is a complete e-commerce web site. Owner Cindy Scholten has been an Ebay power seller
and now wants her auctions and Ebay listings to back into her own web site.
Cindy gave use all the categories to use for the left her navigation. We asked her for product details
and photography so we could set up the first 50 products in her store. Cindy will now add additional
products in her web site's "back office" as they come to hand.
The Artmarte site allows the owner to add and remove product, create promotional packs of product,
feature items on the homepage, change where links appear on the site, change any or all of the text
throughout her site... in short the software is a complete solutions for retailers.

"The redesign of my website by Peter Mitchell is beyond my expectations! Using his design talents
together with his extensive knowledge of search engine optimisation, he achieved outstanding results.
I wanted a site that was basic, fast and user friendly. Peter achieved that with a site both professional
in appearance and easy to find. The parameters I gave Peter tested his design talents, but he still came
up with something better than expected.
Already, the site is proving a great asset to my business and I strongly recommend Peter's expertise
to anybody wanting a professional, high profile site."

"When we approached Peter about redesigning our website we found he was able to guide us through
what was needed to make the site more accessible for our potential customers, as well as suggest creative
ideas to make it a promotional tool. He listened to what we wanted and combined our ideas with his to
develop a wonderful website in a very short time. Since completing the finished product he has also been
available to help with any questions we have had, and answered them in a way that was easy to understand."

"I have had such good comments about my website that I would like to share with you. One customer
saying Your unique site made my day, loved the artwork and the easily accessible layout of the webpage.
it was so refreshing and so easy to use another saying: This is exactly what I have
been looking for, love all of your albums you have a very pretty site and so very easy to understand,
Ill be back.
So many of my friends and relatives upon seeing the site all want to know who built it I would
have loved to say me but I could never have done such a wonderful job as you have. My next step is heavy
marketing but I think I'll need your help there also!!"
